Laphroaig 15 Year Old

Laphroaig 15 Year Old Islay single malt Scotch whisky. Rare discontinued expression.

Laphroaig

Laphroaig Distillery was established in 1815 on the rocky south coast of the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland. Laphroaig is a malt whisky distillery which continues to malt barley using its traditional malting floors and malt kiln. In 1994 Laphroaig was awarded the Royal Warrant. Visitors are welcomed at the Laphroaig Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available. Laphroaig Distillery participates in Feis Ile, the Islay Festival of Malt and Music.

The first taste is an oak sweetness, the influuence of 15 years in the barrel, followed by warm peat smoke topnotes. Flavours reminiscent of fresh nutmeg and toasted almonds may follow.
