Devonshire Red Truckle

"The Quicke family has been farming the land near Crediton for 500 years, and have been making clothbound cheese for five generations. This wonderful little truckle disguises the vibrant amber paste within, which has been infused with natural annatto. The cheese is delicately sweet when young, developing more distinct butterscotch and nut flavours and a crumbly texture with age. Visually stunning, it pairs well with fruity cider or crisp dry white wine."

Our distinctive take on Red Leicester. A fresher cheese than our traditional cheddar our Devonshire Red retains a nuttiness, combined with a lemony creaminess and a glorious crumbly texture. Infused with natural annatto for an intense amber colour.
